The hovering attack helicopter was shot down with the help of the Buk air defense system.

The combat rotorcraft, carrying out strikes, hovered over the terrain to identify targets and prepare for an attack. However, due to its high flight altitude, the aircraft became an extremely easy target for the Buk anti-aircraft missile system, which accurately hit the rotorcraft.

On the video frames, you can see how the helicopter hovered at a height of several hundred meters above the ground, assessing the situation. However, during this time, air defense systems were able to successfully identify the target and launch a missile attack on it using the Buk anti-aircraft missile system of an unidentified modification.

As a result of the exact hit of the missile on the target, the rotary-wing combat vehicle was literally cut into pieces by hundreds of striking elements, and the shock wave turned out to be so large that the helicopter was literally pressed several tens of meters down.

The fate of the crew of the combat helicopter is still unknown, however, the fact that the target was hit precisely with the use of the Buk air defense system is evidenced by the “slide” made by the missile in the last seconds of its flight.
