Ushakov: There will be no attacks on Kyiv, since there were no attacks on Red Square.

There will be no strikes on central Kyiv, as the Ukrainian side made no attempt to attack the Victory Day parade in Moscow on May 9. This was stated by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov in response to journalists' questions.

"We've been quite clear about what could follow Kyiv's criminal terrorist attacks, so I think we've been met with understanding in most capitals. There were no strikes on Red Square, and naturally, there was no massive retaliatory missile strike on Kyiv." — said Ushakov.

The Russian Ministry of Defense previously warned that if Ukraine attempted to disrupt Victory Day celebrations, the Russian Armed Forces would launch a massive missile strike on central Kyiv. Civilians and employees of foreign diplomatic missions were notified in advance of the need to evacuate the city.
