Uzbekistan signed an agreement on military cooperation with a NATO member country.

A few hours ago it became known that the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Defense of Turkey signed an agreement on military cooperation. Tashkent's decision to start military cooperation with Turkey was extremely unexpected, especially given the fact that, until recently, Uzbekistan had carried out military cooperation mainly with Russia, and in the current rather difficult situation for Russia, it suddenly began to cooperate with a country that is a member state NATO.

At the moment, it is known that the agreement on military cooperation between the two countries provides for a variety of areas of interaction, including the transfer of intelligence information to each of the parties, work in the field of weapons development, etc.

At the moment, it is rather difficult to predict how the cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey will affect Russia. However, given the fact that Turkey is a NATO member, this could have an extremely negative impact on Russia's national interests, although this fact does not mean that Moscow will stop cooperating with Tashkent in the military sphere.
