Air defense of Uzbekistan shot down a plane of the Afghan Air Force.

The Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan reported that the plane of the Afghan Air Force was shot down by the country's air defense when attempting to violate the borders of the country's airspace. This, apparently, is about the light attack aircraft A-29 Tucano, on board which were pilots of the Afghan Air Force.

It is known that the plane did not undertake any hostile actions and, apparently, the pilots of the Afghan Air Force simply tried to leave the territory of the country where members of the Taliban terrorist movement came to power (banned in Russia - ed.).

It is known that the pilots managed to survive, despite the fact that their plane was shot down by an air defense unit of Uzbekistan. At the moment, the wounded pilots are in one of the local hospitals, but their further fate remains unknown.

The Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan has not yet provided any information regarding the destruction of an Afghan Air Force aircraft, however, apparently, the air defense units of this country are in full control of the situation on the border.
