In Abkhazia, the blocking of the republican highway was called a matter of national security

The Secretary of the Security Council of Abkhazia, Raul Lolua, stated that the long-term blocking of key republican highways, initiated by opposition supporters, poses a threat to national security, Interfax reports. At a meeting of the Security Council, he noted that protesters have been blocking roads for a long time, which disrupts the movement of citizens and goods across Abkhazia.

"Citizens face restrictions on freedom of movement throughout the republic," — Lolua emphasized, adding that the current situation hinders the normal life of society and the functioning of infrastructure.

Lolua also stated that such actions in the form of mass demonstrations at the buildings of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service, as well as the ongoing blockade of transport routes, are considered a violation of the law and can be classified as criminal offenses.
