Temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures have been introduced at Saratov's Yuri Gagarin International Airport. The Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) reported that this measure was taken to ensure flight safety.
According to preliminary information from Avia.pro monitoring sources, the reason for the restrictions was the threat of an attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehiclesThe airport is not accepting or dispatching flights, which has led to several flight delays. Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for details.
Similar restrictions were introduced at Gagarin earlier this month, including on October 4 and 6, following drone overflights in the region. There has been no official confirmation from the Ministry of Defense yet.
