A fire broke out at the Nurlino Linear Production and Dispatch Station (LPDS) in the Ufa District of the Republic of Bashkortostan. This station, part of the Transneft-Urals system and one of the largest hubs in Russia's oil transportation infrastructure, is part of the Transneft-Urals system. The incident occurred near the village of Nurlino.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations' press service, the fire was preceded by a bang. "Due to a process disruption at the linear production and control station, a bang followed by a fire occurred," the ministry said in a statement. The incident has been classified as an industrial accident. Two people were injured in the fire, both of whom were hospitalized at Ufa City Hospital No. 18.
Ufa residents reported a thick column of black smoke visible in the western part of the city. The distance from the camera to the incident site is approximately 29 kilometers. All emergency services are on scene, and measures are being taken to contain and extinguish the fire. The reservoir has been decommissioned.
