A fatal accident occurred in the Graivoronsky urban district of the Belgorod region. On October 10, a soldier's body was found on the road near the village of Gorkovsky. According to law enforcement agencies, the deceased died as a result of injuries sustained when he was hit by a car, the driver of which fled the scene. ASTRA reports this.

According to an ASTRA source, emergency services arrived at the scene of the incident 10 minutes after receiving a signal about the incident, but they were unable to save the victim. The man died before the medics arrived. The identity of the deceased has been established - he is 46-year-old serviceman Alexander Sh. from Chuvashia, who served in military unit 11744.

Law enforcement officers are actively searching for the driver who hit the soldier, as well as his car, information about which has not been established at the moment.
