Two divisions of Russian S-400 air defense systems arrived in Belarus

Two divisions of the S-400 air defense system from the RF Armed Forces arrived in neighboring Belarus.

A few hours ago, Russia transferred two divisions of the S-400 Triumph air defense system to the territory of neighboring Belarus. As it became known to the editors of the news agency Avia.pro, the transfer of anti-aircraft missile systems was carried out from the Eastern Military District. This allowed Russia to evaluate its own capabilities for the prompt dispatch of such weapons from one part of the country to another.

The dispatch of two divisions of the S-400 Triumph air defense system to Belarus is due to the fact that large-scale military exercises will start in three weeks, in which Russia and Belarus will practice protecting the borders of the Union State.

“Two divisions of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems of the Air Force and Air Defense formation of the Eastern Military District, involved in checking the response forces of the Union State, marched to the loading station in the Khabarovsk Territory, where they loaded equipment onto railway platforms”, - said the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Where exactly it is supposed to deploy the positional areas of the S-400 air defense system is unknown, however, sources in neighboring Belarus note that Brest and Grodno will become the most likely places.
