On December 7, a serious emergency occurred in one of the schools in Bryansk. An eighth-grade student brought a firearm into the building of gymnasium No. 5 and opened fire. This was reported by the TASS agency with reference to operational services.

According to the city administration, two people were killed and four more were injured as a result of the incident. According to eyewitness accounts and agency sources, the schoolgirl injured four boys and then committed suicide.

“We were just sitting in English and heard shots. We get up and immediately hear the second, third shot. We panic, we start closing the windows and stacking desks on top of each other. None of the teachers answer anything. It turned out that a girl from 8th grade came with a weapon and started shooting.”, - said one of the school students.

All students were evacuated from the building, which is currently cordoned off by security forces. “MVD Media” reports that the girl fired several shots, as a result of which three people were injured, and then committed suicide.

At the moment, the girl’s motives and the exact circumstances of this tragedy are being established. The event caused shock and alarm among the local population, highlighting the importance of security issues in educational institutions.
