Six people were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack in Chechnya.

On the night of May 9, 2026, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an attack using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the territory of the Chechen Republic. The republic's mobile air defense groups shot down five drones, but their downing resulted in destruction and civilian casualties.

In total, six civilians were injured in the attack. The victims were reportedly promptly provided with the necessary medical assistance, and their lives are not in danger. According to regional authorities, restoration work at the damaged facilities has already begun.

Two more downed drones fell into fields in the village of Dashi Akaeva (Katayama) and the village of Belgatoy, without causing serious damage to infrastructure.
