Novorossiysk, July 8 — Avia.pro. An attack on a civilian oil tanker using marine robotic systems was recorded in the Black Sea. The attack was carried out by a Ukrainian unmanned boat armed with a high-powered warhead.

According to industry monitoring resources, the vessel hit was a vessel that foreign research agencies have linked to the transportation of crude oil as part of a so-called shadow fleet. The attack occurred far from the coastline, in international waters, where the tanker was en route on an established commercial route.

The ship was reportedly damaged in the hull as a result of the explosion of the naval drone.
