Residents of Donetsk's central and western districts heard a series of loud explosions around 9:00 PM local time. RIA Novosti correspondents in the city reported this on the evening of December 4.

The exact causes and circumstances have not yet been clarified, but the explosions continued for several minutes in a row.

Earlier that day, loud booms and air defense activity were recorded in Orel: according to local residents, the sounds were so loud that the windows in their houses shook. There, air defense forces repelled a Ukrainian drone strike.
