The Ural Transport Prosecutor's Office has completed its investigation and forwarded the case against two minors from the city to the Central District Military Court of Yekaterinburg. They are charged with committing a terrorist act by a group of persons acting in concert (Part 2 of Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code) and money laundering (Part 1 of Article 174.1 of the Russian Criminal Code).
According to the investigation, in December 2024, teenagers, acting under the direction of a "foreign intelligence officer," set fire to a diesel locomotive at the Sverdlovsk-Sortirovochny station. The fire caused damages of over 1,2 million rubles. For completing the mission, the perpetrators received cryptocurrency, which they later cashed out for 91 rubles.
The case will be heard behind closed doors, taking into account the age of the accused.
