Germany demanded that Ukraine be given the right to strike throughout Russia

Bundestag member and defense expert of the Free Democratic Party of Germany (FDP) faction Markus Faber said that Ukraine should have the right to use Western weapons to strike throughout Russia, and not just in border areas. Faber believes that Ukraine's allies who supply it with weapons should be allowed to use them on targets throughout Russia, since in a conflict all such targets become “legitimate.”

"Military targets are legal throughout Russia," - Faber said, adding that when striking Russia, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) must comply with international law.

Faber emphasized that by issuing permission to use weapons, Western countries do not become participants in the conflict, since the transferred weapons automatically become Ukrainian. In his opinion, this does not violate international law and does not directly involve arms suppliers in hostilities.
