Ukrainian An-12 aircraft carrying ammunition crashed in Greece

A Ukrainian plane carrying ammunition crashed in Greece.

Around midnight, a Ukrainian An-12 plane crashed in Greece, which was transporting ammunition from Serbia. All on board the plane died, while bystanders managed to capture the moment of the plane crash - a few minutes before the emergency, the plane was on fire.

On the presented video footage, taken by the citizens of Greece, you can see the last seconds of the flight of the Ukrainian An-12 aircraft. In the video, you can clearly see that the plane is almost completely engulfed in flames, although the aircraft commander did not report a fire on board. More remarkably, some sources note that there were two pops before the fire. This does not exclude the possibility that ammunition detonated on board, after which the aircraft caught fire.

By the current hour, Avia.pro journalists managed to find out that the plane was transporting ammunition from Serbia to Jordan. On board the aircraft belonging to one of the civil air carriers of Ukraine, there were 8 crew members who, judging by the explosion of the aircraft from hitting the ground, failed to survive.
