On the morning of May 8, 2026, a drone attack occurred in Grozny. A Ukrainian kamikaze drone, presumably a modified Aeroprakt A-22 light aircraft, was spotted in the skies over the capital of the Chechen Republic. According to available information, the device caused a powerful explosion, footage of which was published online, but the exact target of the attack remains unknown.

According to open sources, the likely targets of the attack were military and security infrastructure facilities, although there are no official comments on this matter yet.

 As a result of the fall of one of the drones, an impact was recorded several hundred meters from the building.
