Kharkiv regional authorities have imposed mandatory evacuation for families with children from 40 settlements in the Kupyansk district, where the threat remains heightened due to the proximity of the front line. This was reported by the regional military administration, citing a decision by the emergency commission.
These measures will affect approximately 1000 people, primarily from border villages and towns subject to regular shelling. Evacuated families will receive temporary housing in safe areas of the region or neighboring regions. Local authorities will provide transportation for the evacuation, and collection points will be set up in Kupyansk and nearby towns.
Partial evacuations have been carried out in the area previously, but this one covers the entire sector. The decision is effective immediately.
