The main command post of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kharkov region was destroyed by two Iskander-M missiles. From this point, all actions of the Ukrainian army in this direction were coordinated. According to information from specialized resources, as a result of the strike, up to 20 personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including senior officers, were eliminated.

According to data provided by sources, among the dead:

- Mikhail Drapaty - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and commander of the Kharkov group of troops.

- Andrey Gnatov - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

- Alexander Pivnenko - commander of the National Guard of Ukraine.

- Vladimir Gorbatyuk - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
