Officers of the FSB Directorate for the Kherson region detained a 42-year-old local resident on suspicion of financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the investigation, the suspect, a citizen of the Russian Federation, regularly transferred funds from February 2022 to September 2023 intended for the needs of the Ukrainian army, including the purchase of medical and military equipment.

A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "High Treason". By the court's decision, she has been remanded in custody. According to Russian law, under this article she may face a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.

Currently, the FSB is conducting additional operational-search activities and investigative actions in order to clarify all the circumstances of the suspect’s activities, as well as to establish her possible criminal connections.
