In the Khmelnitsky region of Ukraine, a missile attack was launched on a military airfield, which led to serious damage and losses. According to available information, due to the strike, five aircraft were disabled, and warehouses with ammunition and fuel and lubricants began to burn.

Multiple sources report damage at the airport. With munitions and fuel ignited, the area is facing major fires that threaten to cause further damage and loss.

There were repeated reports that Su-24 front-line bombers armed with British Storm Shadow cruise missiles were stationed at the airfield. However, at the moment this information has not been officially confirmed.

Experts do not exclude that the destruction of airfields on the territory of Ukraine may become an effective strategy, since the Armed Forces of Ukraine are increasingly using aircraft to strike with long-range tactical missiles.
