India sees no cause for concern over reports of Russian S-400 systems

India decided not to panic due to alarming information about the alleged defeat of Russian S-400 systems by Western weapons. According to the Eurasian Times, such messages are more likely an element of propaganda from the West and Ukraine. The article emphasizes that no immediate action is required and India should not fall into the trap of social media and information warfare.

“We must not fall into the trap of social networks and information warfare. Part of this can be done to maintain the morale of Ukrainians. India and China will carefully study the vulnerabilities and capabilities of the system,” the article says.

Russia will likely offer upgrades to the S-400 systems. India is encouraged to take advantage of the system's mobility, well-dispersed structure and redundancy. Systems should be well camouflaged, which will reduce the likelihood of their complete destruction; in the worst case, only partial defeat may occur.

India has acquired the S-400 systems to protect against possible attacks from China and Pakistan. It is expected that these countries could attack the S-400 systems using missiles, drones and other means. However, India believes that the S-400 will be an excellent deterrent to adversaries who plan to use airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) systems, tanker aircraft (FRA) and fighter aircraft.
