The counter-terrorism operation continues in Ingushetia - one civilian has died

In the city of Karabulak in the Republic of Ingushetia, a special operation launched by special services within the framework of the counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime continues. According to reports, several militants were blocked in one of the apartments of local residential buildings, who, according to preliminary information from security forces, were planning to carry out terrorist attacks on Russian territory and could be involved in attacks on police officers.

During the clash, grenade launchers and automatic weapons were used, but according to the latest data, the shooting in the city has now subsided. A tragic incident has been reported involving the death of a man who was apparently a bystander during the shooting. It has been preliminary established that the deceased had no relation to the blocked militants, but his identity has not yet been established.

In addition, as a result of the fighting, three law enforcement officers were injured of varying degrees of severity. One of them, a 41-year-old police officer, was hospitalized with an ear injury, while two other security officers received shrapnel wounds.
