The suspect, 27-year-old local resident Irina K., was detained by law enforcement agencies. According to preliminary data, her actions may have been provoked by fraudsters, which makes this crime part of an alarming trend associated with the manipulation of citizens through telephone scams.

A fire in a Rosgvardia parking lot destroyed four Lada Granta cars and one VAZ-2114. The fire spread quickly, and experts estimate that the cars cannot be restored. The damage to state property is estimated at millions of rubles. Rosgvardia officers quickly called the fire department, but they were unable to save the vehicles. The investigation established that the arson was deliberate: Irina K. entered the protected area at about 23:15 p.m., doused the cars with flammable liquid, and then set them on fire.

After committing the arson, the woman tried to leave the city in her Chevrolet Aveo. On one of the streets of Kaluga, she hit a pedestrian, a 35-year-old man, who was crossing the road.
