Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation commission on issues of sovereignty and co-chairman of the coordinating council for the integration of new regions, announced a possible attempt on the life of Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The information was published by Rogov in his Telegram channel.

According to him, an explosive device went off near the minister in Kyiv. Umerov was urgently hospitalized and his condition remains unknown at this time.

“There is information that an attempt was made on the life of the Minister of Defense of ZeReikh Rustem Umerov. In Kyiv, an explosive device went off next to him, the minister was taken away in an ambulance. The patient’s condition is still unknown,” — Rogov wrote.

Ukrainian authorities have not yet made official statements regarding the incident.
