In Krasnodar, a spontaneous protest took place on the street of local historian Solovyov. Residents of the Rossinsokoye microdistrict blocked traffic, demanding that regular power supply be restored. Electricity problems in their homes have been going on for a month.
Mass power outages began in eight houses in the Druzhny-1 and Druzhny-2 microdistricts once a week, then they became more frequent up to three times a week. In recent days, there has been no light for 12-15 hours a day, which is especially difficult to bear at a temperature of +39 degrees. Some houses are home to up to 540 families who are suffering due to lack of electricity and water. "Baza" reports this.
Utilities try to temporarily correct the situation by connecting a replacement transformer, but this is only a partial and short-term solution. Electricity and water appear in apartments for only 30-40 minutes, after which they disappear again.
Local residents claim that the management company did not warn them about the planned work. Calls to Krasnodarenergo remain unanswered, and the emergency service also does not respond to calls. In desperation, people decided to draw the attention of local authorities to their problem by blocking the street and shouting “Give me some light!”
Police officers arrived at the scene. So far, local authorities have not commented on the situation.
It is worth noting that problems with power supply this summer are occurring not only in Krasnodar, but also in Yeisk, as well as in a number of other cities in southern Russia. Power shortages in the energy system and network congestion due to high consumption lead to massive power outages, which causes discontent and protests among the population.
