Detentions of protesters against power outages began in Krasnodar

In Krasnodar, the protest of residents of the Rossinsky microdistrict continues, caused by massive power outages. The situation escalated to such an extent that the police came out onto the street of local historian Solovyov and began detaining the protesters. According to the latest data, two protesters have already been detained: a man and a woman. This data is provided by the "Base".

Against the backdrop of growing tension, the mayor of Krasnodar, Evgeny Naumov, decided to personally go out to residents to explain the reasons for the current problems with power supply. According to Naumov, mass power outages are associated with an accident on the cable and work to restore it is already actively underway. At the same time, a new cable is being laid, which should solve the problem with interruptions.

Naumov also called on citizens to leave the roadway so as not to interfere with the movement of cars and the work of public utilities.

“If you want, handcuff me to a pole if it makes you feel better. I’ll be here with you until the power supply is turned on in your area,” “he added, trying to calm the protesters and demonstrate his solidarity with them.

The protest in the Rossinsky neighborhood began after residents faced regular power outages for a month. At first, the power in their houses went out once a week, then the frequency of outages increased to three times a week, and in recent days there was no electricity for 12-15 hours a day. In the summer heat, reaching +39 degrees, this became a serious problem for residents.

Attempts by utility companies to temporarily solve the problem by connecting a replacement transformer were ineffective. Electricity and water appeared in the apartments only for a short time, after which they disappeared again. The management company did not warn residents about the planned work, and Krasnodarenergo and the emergency service did not answer calls.
