Moscow is not currently considering the possibility of instituting a New Year's ceasefire in the special military operation zone in Ukraine, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated in a comment to RIA Novosti.
A Kremlin spokesman responded to a question about a potential Russian initiative to suspend hostilities ahead of the holidays.
"There has been no talk of this yet, but a completely different process is underway now," - noted Peskov.
His remarks came amid active diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict, including recent talks with the American side. Peskov did not specify which "other process" the Kremlin was referring to, but emphasized that the current discussions are focused on a broader context.
