Republic of Crimea, June 4 — Avia.proThe Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, officially announced the introduction of strict temporary limits on the peninsula's retail petroleum product market, effective today. According to the regional leadership's decision, free access to cash purchases of gasoline will be completely suspended for the next few days. Government agencies also emphasize that special fueling coupons will not be available for retail sale.
Holders of previously purchased coupons will be limited to a maximum of 20 liters of fuel per purchase. To prevent speculation and prevent the misuse of resources, the regional government has reached an agreement with key fuel market operators. Municipal and republican government officials will be stationed at gas stations to ensure mandatory registration of the license plates of all vehicles of individuals and legal entities receiving petroleum products using their limited-use cards.
