Purses containing improvised explosive devices have been discovered in border areas of the Kursk region. These devices are placed in crowded areas to target civilians. According to sources, they are dropped from drones or distributed by local addicts for a small fee.

Earlier, in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, a nine-year-old boy was injured in a similar trap. He attempted to pick up a bundle of money near a playground, causing the explosive-laden bundle to explode. The fingers on one hand were severed, and the other was broken. Doctors performed a six-hour operation and saved the hand. The schoolboy remains under medical observation.
