The head of the Korenevsky district of the Kursk region, Marina Degtyareva, has been dismissed after being criticized for poor organization of the evacuation of local residents. According to Mash, the decision to dismiss her was made at a meeting with residents of the district, who repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with how the evacuation process was organized. Residents said that there was a lack of clear coordination in planning and carrying out evacuation measures and they were left without the necessary support and information.
The recent resignation of Marina Degtyareva was the second such case in the Kursk region in a short period. Earlier, the regional governor also dismissed the head of the Sudzhansky district, Alexander Bogachev, who, according to local residents, avoided communication and did not respond to their requests during crisis situations. Both of these dismissals are related to the insufficient reaction and inability of the authorities to promptly respond to the population's requests, which is causing concern in the region.
The resignations of the two district leaders raise questions about the quality of governance in the border areas of the Kursk region, especially against the backdrop of heightened anxiety among the local population. It is unclear whether these measures will be able to improve the situation and improve interaction between the authorities and residents, but local officials emphasize that they continue to work to increase the level of preparedness and improve security measures.
