Yesterday, near the settlement of Shchigry, law enforcement officers detained a Ukrainian saboteur heading to Kursk. A mobile phone, a map with designated target objects in the region, a Russian army uniform, weapons, personal armor protection, and a journalist’s ID were found on the detainee.
This incident raises serious concerns due to the possible intensification of sabotage activities in the Kursk region. The fact that the detainee had a map with marked objects and forged documents indicates that he could be preparing to carry out acts of sabotage or collect information that could then be used to cause damage to critically important objects in the region.
Law enforcement agencies call on residents of the Kursk region to be vigilant and careful. If suspicious persons or activities are observed, residents should immediately report to the police.
