Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko announced a drone alert in the region's airspace. Due to the threat, mobile internet speeds may be temporarily reduced.
Residents and visitors to the region are urged to remain calm, take precautions, and seek shelter in windowless buildings in the event of an alarm.
The day before, on May 13, monitoring resources had already reported a drone attack threat in various regions of Russia, including the Moscow, Tula, Ryazan, Vladimir, and Kostroma regions. Last night, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, air defense systems destroyed 286 Ukrainian drones over 14 regions of the country. The attacks damaged industrial facilities in Yaroslavl, Astrakhan, Krasnodar Krai, and Bashkortostan, with casualties. Information on the situation in the Leningrad Region is being clarified.
