The home of a Naval Academy professor was set on fire in the Leningrad region.

In a district of the Leningrad region, unknown individuals set fire to a private home belonging to a Naval Academy professor. The incident occurred on the night of October 8th at approximately 06:38 AM. The fire destroyed the residential building and an adjacent outbuilding.

According to 47news, the owner of the property, an employee of the Naval Academy, estimated the damage at over 700 rubles. He noted that he had no conflicts with others. CCTV cameras captured the stranger leaving the property immediately after the fire.

The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case on charges of arson. Details of the incident are being clarified.
