On the morning of May 13, 2026, Russian attack drones struck the center of Lutsk in western Ukraine. According to preliminary data, one of the targets was the regional headquarters of the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to local authorities, at least three explosions were heard in the city. Acting Mayor of Lutsk Kateryna Shklyoda confirmed the attack, noting that information about the casualties and the extent of the destruction in the regional capital is being clarified.
The strike occurred during one of the most massive air attacks on the country's western regions. That same night, the Kyiv, Khmelnytsky, and Odesa regions were subjected to massive attacks, causing fires and civilian injuries.
Earlier this month, the SBU headquarters in Zhytomyr suffered a similar attack. Drones of this type are used to target enemy command posts and logistics hubs deep in the rear.
