A few hours ago, a severe fire was recorded near the military airfield in Melitopol. This is evidenced not only by video footage published by residents of neighboring settlements, but also by information from NASA satellites that record fires and wildfires.

On the presented video frames, you can see serious smoke in the Melitopol area. According to local residents, the fire is located in the north-west of the city. Specialists analyzed NASA satellite images and found that the fire was spreading in the area of ​​a military airfield. And, apparently, there are several strong fires.

On the presented satellite images, you can see that the fire was recorded only within the last 24 hours. In particular, on July 2, 2022, no abnormal temperature increases due to burning were recorded in the region.

At the moment, sources report that an attack was made on the military airfield of Melitopol, however, the attack was successfully repelled. This raised a number of questions regarding the massive fire in the region.
