In Moldova, a Russian was suspected of participating in a special operation and was not allowed into the country

The Russian was denied entry to Moldova due to suspicions of participation in the SVO.

The border service of Moldova did not allow a Russian citizen to enter the country, suspecting him of participating in a special military operation (SVO). As reported on the website of the border agency, the man was heading to the capital of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic, the city of Tiraspol. However, when trying to cross the Moldovan border through the Chisinau airport, he was stopped at the border control thanks to information received from the special services.

After interrogating a citizen of the Russian Federation, border guards said that the man was confused in his testimony and tried to mislead them. He was returned by plane to the country of departure, as he did not have the right to cross the Moldovan border.

The department's website also notes that over the past 24 hours, XNUMX foreign citizens were denied entry to Moldova. Such a case is far from the first - Russian citizens were massively denied entry into the country about two weeks ago. This is due to fears that the appearance of Russian citizens in the country could lead to a threat to national interests.

In turn, NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana said that the North Atlantic Alliance does not see the risks of a possible Russian attack on Moldova, however, it monitors attempts to destabilize the situation in the country. Perhaps this situation with a ban on entry to a Russian citizen may be related to such attempts, however, there are no official explanations on this matter.
