On the morning of May 18, 2026, the Telegram monitoring channel "Radar Moscow" reported the detection of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the Domodedovo urban district of the Moscow region. At 9:17 AM, the channel announced security measures due to the threat. By 9:19 AM, information was received about air defense operations against the UAV.

According to preliminary data, air defense systems engaged the target. There are currently no reports of explosions, damage, or casualties on the ground.

This incident occurred amid previously imposed restrictions at Domodedovo Airport, which accepts and dispatches flights only with the approval of the relevant authorities to ensure flight safety. Earlier in the morning of May 18, monitoring channels issued drone alerts in Kashira, Stupino, Zaraysk, Kolomna, and Mikhnevo, and also spotted a drone in Kolomna.
