In Moscow, introduced a hard access regime due to coronavirus

The mayor of Moscow announced the introduction of tough measures and access control.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the introduction of new tough measures in Moscow to counteract the spread of a new type of coronavirus infection, including access control in the city.

The following restrictions are introduced:

  • Access control (will be declarative in nature), in three stages: the first will cover travel to work, the second will cover city trips, and the third can be extended to movements inside the residence area.
  • The provision of car sharing services is suspended.
  • Construction is suspended, with the exception of medical facilities and continuous cycle works.
  • The work of most organizations is limited or terminated, except for continuous-cycle enterprises. Medical organizations, authorities, law enforcement agencies, banks, communications and transport enterprises, and the media will continue to work. This will also not affect the enterprises of the defense industry and aircraft manufacturing, Roskosmos and Rosatom.
  • The provision of medical services by non-core organizations is temporarily suspended.
  • The conclusion of contracts for any procurement, except for urgent ones, is suspended.

Contrary to the arguments of a number of media, quarantine and the announcement of an emergency regime are out of the question - this information is unreliable, however, given the sharp deterioration of the situation, experts believe that in reality, the introduction of such measures may also be under consideration.
