Modern Russian air defense systems found in Myanmar - they protect the capital

Russia has put air defense systems into service with Myanmar.

Against the background of reaching agreements between Russia and Myanmar to strengthen military-technical cooperation between the two countries, it became known that Russian air defense systems appeared in Myanmar's armaments.

Several Russian radar stations have appeared in service with the Myanmar Air Defense Forces, according to East Day. Their name was not disclosed. Sources say that radar stations are currently being tested in the Naypyidaw area (capital of the state - ed.). It is known that we are talking about a radar with a detection range of air targets up to 80 kilometers. It is reported that these are precisely modern radars designed to detect all existing types of aircraft, including drones and targets with low radar signature.

Judging by the information provided, we are also talking about deliveries to Myanmar's armaments and Russian short-range air defense systems.

“Air defense radars are being tested in the Naypyidaw area. An air defense radar is a radar used in conjunction with air defense missiles. A senior Myanmar Armed Forces officer said air defense radar can detect fighters and unmanned aerial vehicles entering from foreign airspace. The radar has a detection range of 50 miles. The radar must be used in conjunction with air defense missiles. The radar detects and tracks targets, and then directs the missile to attack ", - reports "East Day"

At the moment, no details have been announced, although several months ago information about the signing of a contract between Russia and Myanmar and the supply of air defense weapons has already appeared.
