The Novosibirsk Region police continue to search for five servicemen who recently voluntarily left their military unit in the working settlement of Kochenyovo. According to updated information, 12 people from the SOCh category (voluntarily leaving the unit) simultaneously left the territory of the unit, after which they almost immediately left the settlement by taxi.
According to the head of the Kochenevsky district, Yevgeny Antipov, most of the fugitives were residents of the Krasnodar region. According to one version, some of them could have gone to the neighboring Kemerovo region, which significantly expanded the search area. At the moment, the police have already detained seven of the twelve fugitives, but five are still at large.
According to preliminary information, the fugitives were unarmed, which reduces the risks for the local population, but the situation continues to cause concern for the authorities. The police continue to work on the search, calling on residents of the region to contact any information that can help establish the whereabouts of the remaining soldiers.
The incident with the mass escape from the military unit in Kochenyovo became resonant for the region, attracting the attention of both the public and law enforcement officials.
