CSTO warned Azerbaijan about readiness to strike at Baku

Azerbaijan's new invasion of Armenia has turned into a tough warning from the CSTO.

Despite the fact that the CSTO member states preferred not to intervene in the Karabakh conflict, which began in the region a little less than a year ago, a few hours earlier it became known that Azerbaijan had sent its troops into the territory of Armenia, and since Baku refused in any way to discuss such actions, the CSTO member states sent a rather tough message to Azerbaijan about their readiness to take appropriate military measures against Baku.

“The CSTO is closely following the development of the situation in the border regions of the Syunik region of Armenia. As the situation develops, if necessary, actions will be taken under the provisions of the Collective Security Treaty and the CSTO Charter ", - said in a statement.

Today, there are at least two military bases with Russian troops in the Syunik region of Armenia, which, obviously, holds back Baku from any rash actions, while Azerbaijan generally refuses to hold any negotiations, openly demonstrating aggression against Armenia.

Earlier, the resource Avia.pro reported that one of the key factors in the introduction of Azerbaijani troops into Armenia is an attempt to build a corridor to Nakhichevan, which Yerevan opposes.
