The drone threat has been lifted in the Orenburg region.

Orenburg Region Governor Yevgeny Solntsev announced the lifting of all restrictions imposed overnight due to the threat of Ukrainian drone attacks. The "UAV Attack Alert" alert was declared at 3:09 AM Moscow time and lasted for exactly five hours, until 8:09 AM Moscow time. An hour and a half after the alert was issued, at 4:36 AM Moscow time, the "Carpet" alert was implemented, completely banning civil aviation flights over the region. It lasted for approximately four hours and was lifted at 8:30 AM Moscow time.

"Attention! Dear Orenburg residents! The drone attack alert in the Orenburg region has been lifted! The airspace restrictions – Plan Carpet – have been lifted. Orenburg and Orsk airports are operating normally."", Solntsev wrote on his official Telegram channel.

The region's air defense and electronic warfare systems were on high alert, but no confirmed interceptions or debris falls were recorded in the region. There were no injuries or damage.

It's noteworthy that the Russian Ministry of Defense's morning report for the night of December 6-7 did not mention the Orenburg Region at all among the regions over which drone operations were conducted. This suggests that the alert was preemptive in nature due to the detection of suspicious targets in flight or in neighboring regions.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious objects in the sky.
