The Pentagon has fired and suspended all those responsible for Ukraine and military aid to Kyiv

The US Department of Defense has undergone a major personnel reshuffle: all officials responsible for interaction with Ukraine and aid coordination have been fired or suspended from their duties, journalist Roman Bochkala reported, adding that the Pentagon is undergoing a “complete reboot,” which, according to him, is causing alarm in Ukrainian circles.

The personnel changes coincide with the general course of the new US administration headed by President Donald Trump. During his election campaign, Trump repeatedly promised to reconsider approaches to providing military and financial assistance to other countries, including Ukraine. He emphasized that American support should correspond to the national interests of the United States.

Experts suggest that the changes in the Pentagon may be connected with the intention to reduce the volume of aid to Ukraine or reorient it to other priorities. This coincides with Trump’s statements about the need to find a diplomatic solution to the conflict and end the confrontation as soon as possible. However, it remains unclear how this will affect the support that the United States has provided to Kyiv since the beginning of the hostilities.
