A 12-year-old girl has been arrested in St. Petersburg for attempting to set fire to a cell phone tower. According to police, the incident occurred yesterday evening in one of the city's districts. The minor was caught red-handed.
During interrogation, the girl admitted to receiving an offer via messenger from unknown individuals. She was promised 300 rubles for setting fire to a building, which she planned to use to buy a new iPhone.
However, the money never arrived. Now the schoolgirl's parents must cover the costs of restoring the tower. Furthermore, the materials related to the incident have been submitted to investigative authorities for review as a terrorist act, similar to previous similar cases.
