Residents in Istra, near Moscow, were once again warned about the dangers of unmanned aerial vehicles.

On Monday, May 18, 2026, a drone threat was again declared in the Istra urban district. Local authorities issued a corresponding warning. Citizens were urged to remain vigilant and strictly observe safety measures.

As a reminder, this warning came a day after the largest attack on the capital region. On the night of May 17, air defense forces repelled an attack by 20 drones over the Istra District. However, some of the drones reached their targets.

As a result of the attack, a five-story apartment building on Kosmonavtov Street was damaged in the town of Dedovsk, and six private homes were damaged in the village of Agrogorodok. Four local residents—three men and one woman—suffered injuries of varying severity. All victims were quickly taken to hospitals.

Authorities are once again reminding residents not to touch the wreckage of downed drones or use mobile phones or radio equipment near them. If you discover any suspicious objects, call 112 immediately.
