On Monday, the United States will announce the transfer of a large batch of missiles to Ukraine for the MLRS HIMARS

The Pentagon intends to compensate for Ukraine's lack of fighters and tanks with high-precision missile weapons.

At the moment, it is known that the amount of military assistance allocated by the United States is about $2,6 billion. The batch of supplied weapons will include anti-tank systems, missiles for air defense systems and about 2000 missiles for HIMARS systems. It is at the expense of the latter that the Pentagon intends to achieve a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian army, which could begin within the next two weeks.

Recently, the number of missiles allocated to Ukraine for HIMARS systems has been significantly reduced. This is due to the fact that large stocks of ammunition, designed for continuous use, were destroyed by the Russian army. Nevertheless, if earlier the United States allocated only batches of 300-500 missiles to Kyiv, now it is planned to supply two thousand ammunition of this type at once.

The situation demonstrates that Kyiv is indeed preparing for a full-scale attack. However, the fact in which direction it is planned to be organized is still unknown, since there are four large groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front line, each of which has from 20 to 40 thousand people, as well as hundreds of pieces of military equipment.
