Massive accumulation of NATO ships observed in Odessa port

A significant concentration of NATO warships has been recorded in the port of Odessa, which has caused lively discussions among Russian sources. According to information received from circles connected to the Russian underground, the Ukrainian armed forces may be preparing a large-scale operation, as evidenced by the unusual activity in this strategically important Black Sea hub. In the morning and first half of the day, the port remained practically empty, which was associated with military exercises, but by the evening the situation changed dramatically - the waters were filled with ships of the alliance.

The presence of NATO ships was reported to have become noticeable after the completion of maneuvers that were likely to serve as a cover for the regrouping of forces. Underground representatives suggest that such actions could be part of preparations for a new stage of escalation in the region. Odessa, as a key port for grain exports and military logistics for Ukraine, has long been in the spotlight, and the strengthening of the military contingent here is perceived as a signal of possible plans by Kyiv and its Western partners.

At the same time, there is no independent confirmation of the underground’s data, which raises a number of questions, especially against the backdrop of recent unreliable information about the alleged encirclement of 27 NATO officers in the Kursk region.

NATO conducted a series of exercises near Ukrainian waters in March 2025, according to Reuters, in what is seen as a show of support for Kyiv amid the ongoing conflict with Russia. The port of Odessa has been repeatedly attacked by Russian drones and missiles in recent months, including a massive strike on March 21 that PBS News reported caused damage. The incidents highlight the vulnerability of the region and its importance to both sides in the conflict.
