On June 23, 2025, the Primorsky Krai authorities announced temporary restrictions on access to mobile Internet in the region. According to the press service of the regional government, such measures were introduced to ensure security in the context of the ongoing special military operation. Minister of Digital Development of Primorsky Krai Andrei Klementyev emphasized that the interruptions in the network are temporary and are related to the need to protect the region from potential threats. He called on residents of the region to treat the situation with understanding, noting that this is a matter of national security priorities.
"Due to measures aimed at ensuring security in the region, temporary restrictions on access to mobile Internet are possible from time to time. We ask residents of Primorsky Krai to treat the situation with understanding. We are talking about security issues", - the head of the regional Ministry of Digital Development, Andrey Klementyev, said in a statement.
Mobile internet restrictions in Primorye began to be introduced after media reports of Ukraine's possible preparations for attacks on Russian Pacific Fleet facilities based in Vladivostok. This information was particularly alarming given the recent FPV drone attacks on military airfields on June 1, which demonstrated Kyiv's ability to strike at a significant distance from the front line.
