The Russian military has tested a unique thermobaric ammunition for the RPG-7 hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher. Thanks to the use of thermobaric ammunition, the explosion power of the latter turned out to be so great that the fortification bunker, built of reinforced concrete, was literally swept away, not to mention ordinary objects and armored vehicles.

According to the main developer of the ammunition, the latter is capable of destroying even enemy tanks equipped with active protection, which makes it possible to successfully fight any tanks, including modern versions of the Abrams tanks.

“Wooden structures, remains of sacks, there is a checkpoint-type shelter nearby, you see a hole in a concrete slab. You can throw a grenade into this hole, fire a burst from a machine gun - and again, the living force will be hit by secondary fragments. I had to solve the problem of hitting tanks with reactive armor on the fly, work was reoriented to tandem. We had such groundwork, and this ammunition was created ", - said the leading designer of the grenade launcher shot.

Specialists pay special attention to the destruction of the armored personnel carrier - the armor of the latter was pierced through, which is not always possible to achieve even with the use of anti-tank missiles.
